So. It’s been a while.

I’ve never been the most consistent in posting. I always seem to do it for a couple months, then drop it for a couple months, then pick it up again to repeat the cycle.

I always have some excuse, and it usually boils down to “Life got in the way.” The current incarnation of “Life” has been a company I started which I’ve been working ridiculous hours to try and grow and build.

I’ve been blessed with a small break recently, in a place where I could really think. I had a lot of time to think about priorities, and why I do what I do. I didn’t start a business to grow it as fast as possible and squeeze every last dollar out of it. I started it to make life a bit easier, to give me both the leeway and experience to accomplish other goals I have, namely, publishing my books, and making a career out of doing so.

SO why am I telling you this? Because there’s something to be learned about priorities from what I’m going through. There’s always an excuse. Always work to do, sleep to catch up on, obligations to keep, but there’s also always a choice in how we prioritize. There’s also always going to be times we fail. Times where life is too much to handle, and we can’t quite put in the effort to do the things we know we have to do. That IS life. Responsibility, Discipline, and Dedication all help manage that life as best we can, but all of these things are rooted in one desire: To try again.

To that end, I’m going to be making a few changes to how and when I post here, in an effort to make writing, and writing this blog, more a part of my daily life and routine. That will mean more frequent posts, but also more shorter, personal posts as well. Hopefully we’ll be spending a lot more time together in the coming months.

I look forward to writing with you.

And, as always, happy reading.
